PC2R SysEx?

Postby Luigi » Thu Jan 11, 2018 4:58 am

Hi, anyone has the specifications of the PC2R SysEx? I'd like to do an Editor for the Setups...

That is a tough one... you will mostly find people here from the PC3 times (2008) till today....

Thanks but PC2 Manager is a librarian, not an editor...

PC2 Manager does have some editing capabilities, but it does not send individual sysex parameter messages. The developer seems to have reverse-engineered how parameters are packed in the sysex message for an entire patch. If memory serves (I haven't used it in a while) ,the way it works is like this: you load a patch into the software, and you can see all of it parameters displayed in a window. You can edit those parameters to taste, and then do an update operation which will send and write the patch to a user memory location in the unit. This is somewhat clumsy, and does not allow for real-time modification of patch parameters, but it is far better than the very restricted editing that you get out of the box.
