PC3 and Forte: Hello from Germany

Introduce yourself here! Do you create libraries that you sell? Do you want to share a video? Do you have a cool band? ONLY if you play Kurzweil.
Forum rules
The K Set List is about sharing. Sharing is the main goal. So, please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE.

If you are a new member of the forum, you will have to write a post in the upper section of The K Set List, before you will be able to download anything. We recommend to write an introduction of yourself here. What Kurzweil keyboard you play? What type of music?

Still, there are people/third parties that create pretty impressive libraries who they sell, normally pretty cheap. Here you can promote that.

Other people just want to show off their talent creating sounds. This is a place for that. All for good old fame!

Or you just want to post your latest video/audio playing a Kurzweil keyboard or you have seen a cool video of some band playing a Kurzweil keyboard and you want to share it. This is a place for that.

Only Kurzweil related topics. Anything non-Kurzweil will be deleted.

Don't use this forum for feature's discussion, use the PC3 family Discussion forum for that. Don't use this forum for posting videos of how to do this or that, use the PC3 family Discussion forum for that.

PC3 and Forte: Hello from Germany

Hello everyone here,

I've been playing keyboards a lot in my younger days (between 1978 and the late 90s), and still have tons of them at home. After a longer break, I bought a brandnew PC3 for a ridiculous price six years ago, but then never really got into playing it - I just had no spare time.

Then in 2018, I came across another special offer with a FORTE 7, again could not resist (because my old E-MU e64 sampler had just passed away), and then I had two Kurzweils at home... But this time I did the right thing and digged into the documentation and WOW - what a beast the PC3 is, I never knew!!! I'm quite good at prrogramming sounds, so I hope to spend a lot of time with these two "new" instruments of mine :-)

To start with, I'd like to find out how to import all the missing PC3 factory presets safely into the Forte - which turns out to be quite complicated, mainly getting Sounds with White Noise

When importing FACTORY PC3 programs into the Forte JUST import the programs without the dependencies... do not import Factory samples with them. That's likely your white noise issue.

And welcome!

Yes I work at Kurzweil but anything I write here is just on behalf of myself, not the company.
