Divide by 128 and drop the fraction to get 10. This becomes your bank select number. Since it's less than 128, the Most Significant Byte (MSB) of the bank number is 0, and the Least Significant Byte (LSB) is 10. (And, yes, they aren't really 8-bit bytes...) Now, start over, but figure out the remainder: WRONG: Take 1301, and subtract 10 * 127 from it, to get 31. Take 1301, and subtract 10 * 128 from it, to get 21. This becomes your program number in the selected bank. WRONG: So, channel 12, MSB 0, LSB 31, prog 31. So, channel 12, MSB 0, LSB 10, prog 21. I think that should do it. Yep, it's gross. But, once you set the MSB/LSB, you don't really have to keep sending them every time, if the new program is in the same bank. MIDI lets you do that, but maybe that application forces MSB/LSB/prog each time. (I really liked the 0-99 banks on the K2000 series! So much easier, even though it did veer from MIDI's 0-127.)
