I've read through the manual and can't seem to figure it out. I had it working at one point but after power cycling the PC88, I lost the settings. Is there anyone that knows how to use this as a MIDI controller inside my DAW? Mac OS X.

Hey, so I have this Kurzweil PC88 collecting dust since a few years now and recently started playing again. Worked great, only thing worrying me was that every time I powered it on, the LED screen displayed "Battery Low", which was weird bc I have it connected to the socket constantly. I didn't even know it was portable tbh.

But I thought it probably once had a portable battery, but that one's broken now and that's why it doesn't load and is always empty or "low".

But today, after a few weeks of playing, it won't start properly. When I power it on, all the buttons flash red three times and the LED screen shines, but is empty. No idea if that could be connected to the "Battery Low" message or if it's something else entirely.

Obvious next step would be to replace the battery, but first I would like to know if "failing to power on" is even a symptom of that. Can't rly find information about it on google, so I thought maybe you guys could help.

Hi,

As some people ask for a place to discuss old Kurzweil (pre-PC3, pre-2006) keyboards, I'm adding this forum to ksetlist so that people with those old keyboards could get together. I'm talking about PC2, PC1, PC88, K2600, K2500, K2000, K1000, K250, and similar...

For K-series there is already a great place to find information, Mastering VAST forum, so check there https://forums.godlike.com.au/

Also in The Keyboard Corner you will probably find old-timers that know about those keyboards: http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthread ... ard_Corner

But PC2, PC88 stuff is harder to find in general, so, this could be a starting meeting point.

IMPORTANT: This is NOT a marketplace forum and any buying/selling stuff will be deleted.

VERY IMPORTANT: Sounds in ksetlist ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with any of these old products.
