after a very long while (I can't believe I bought my PC3K almost 10 years ago) another sound from me.

I tried to recreate one sound from a Philips Philicorda combo/home organ from the sixties using VAST. I used a sample set from pianobook.co.uk as a guide, trying to roughly match the frequency spectrum and structure of harmonics in a spectrum analyser. The sound I tried to emulate is with the lowest octave 8' and the Vox I+II switches enabled.

Here's a small track with an audio demo created on the PC3K then mastered in the DAW (Ardour):

Hi. I made these using only my PC3k. I hope you like them. I have not used them live so I don't know how they will sound. lol I used the Samsung SR850 headphones to "mix" them. If you change anything on any of the sounds to make them sound better, please let me know. I am still learning and this machine is very deep.

Also if someone could convert them to PC3LE, PC4s, SPs, and K2xxx old and new formats as well that would be great. I want everyone to enjoy these.

I plan to make more in the future. Thank you. :)

KungKrill sampled his parent’s Skerratt London Upright Piano. He says “You are allowed to do whatever you want with the samples.” It is a simple single velocity sampling, but I used multiple layers with filters to make it more dynamic and playable. It is a very nice example of an ambient upright.

A 7 layer Saw + 3 layer Sub Osc VASynth for PC4.

I use this as a template to quickly edit the sound with the controllers and create all my basic saw based sounds and other pads sounds varying from warm-and-soft ones to string-machine like sounds. Play around with both the filters (Slider1, Slider2 & Knob 5) to get a whole lot of sound colors. You can experiment with the Sub Osc pushed up and bringing down the saw layers for riffs and patterns. Since the 4Pole LP can be driven into self oscillation, playing around with the resonance can give you lots of interesting sounds. (Tip: If you are new to subtractive synthesis, bring down the LP Freq and push the resonance, but watch out for the filter self oscillation overdriving it!)
