Dear Members,
I don't know if this is the right forum for my question (but it's the best Kurzweil forum I know
)
I own a GEM CC pedal. I want to us this on my Kurzweil PC3LE8
Does anyone of you happen to have the wiring diagram of the Kurweil CC-1 pedal so, if necessary, I can modify my GEM pedal?
Thanks in advance!
(i know it must be a 100k(Ohm) lineair potentiometer. Only the connections on the Jack plug (since it's stereo: 3 contacts!) makes me wonder where to measure!)

Stupid question but have you tried the pedal in the PC3LE8? I don't own the LE series, I have a PC3. In the PC3 manual it says:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pedals
Plug your switch or continuous pedals into the corresponding jacks on the PC3’s rear panel. We recommend using the Kurzweil pedals described on page 1‐5, but you can use almost any switch or continuous pedal, as long as it adheres to the following specifications (as most pedals do):
Continuous pedals 10‐kOhm linear‐taper potentiometer, 1/4‐inch tip‐ring‐sleeve plug
with the wiper connected to the tip.
If you use a third‐party (non‐Kurzweil) switch pedal, make sure it’s connected before you turn
on your PC3. This ensures that the pedal will work properly (it might function backward—off
when it’s down and on when it’s up—if you turn on your PC3 before plugging in the pedal).
Similarly, don’t press any of your switch pedals while powering up, because the PC3 verifies
each pedal’s orientation during power up. If you’re pressing a pedal, you might cause it to work
backward.
The pedals are independently programmable

I use a Yamaha FC7 CC pedal which is a 50-Kohm pedal and it works perfectly. The PC3 apparently recognizes the pedal even though it is not a Kurzweil CC-1 pedal. Might want to try the pedal first just to see if it works OK. In some cases when the pedal does not work correctly (when the throw appears to not be smooth) the problem is simply that the pedal is wired backwards. Read this interesting artical and the simple fix needed to make most pedals work when the throw doesn't appear to be linear:

In the event your pedal works but the "throw" doesn't seem to be smooth (i.e. the pedal goes from 0 to 90% volume when you push the pedal down about 10%) the above solution reverses the Tip and Ring and smooths out the pedal's throw.

People, thank you!
I already tried the pedal, but the problem was that, even in the most upwards position, i could still hear sound coming from my outputs.
The additional information on the sound on sound site looks very helpfull!
Momentarily i'm busy studying for exams, but as soon as i find some spare time, i'll look into this.
Thanks again!

yihaa!
the advice on the site of soundonsound did the trick
please add the Gem (generamusic) cc pedal to the 'usable' ones.
Thanks for the advice!
