Hello, I am using program 903 Tube B3 Perc and I would like to have the "tube" effect everty time I press a key, but I am experiencing sometime there is no "tube" effect ..... It seems to me there is no tube effect if I strike a note when other keys are already held down, but I am not sure.

I am not so skilled with organs and I do not know what I have to modify.
Any suggestion ?

Thanks

If I had to take a guess the tube sound you are talking about is actually the percussion sound. Percussion on a real hammond is only triggered one note at a time and when no other keys are depressed. KB3 emulates the real percussion triggering and is behaving properly and can't be programmed to operate improperly as you would like it to.

Suggestion: the 2nd percussion is the quick decay of the 4th drawbar and the 3rd percussion is the quick decay of the 5th drawbar (2 2/3). Try setting the 5th drawbar about halfway out and see if this is the tone that you would like to hear all the time.

I'm probably the wrong person to delve into this as I'm not an organs chap, but anyway I have been asked if i can help.

Adding to Deleware Dave's post, an article at SoundOnSound explaining the one-trigger-at-a-time thing and how to synthesise a hammond:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan04/a ... ecrets.htm

To get around the trigger thing, i have altered a VAST organ, adding a perc' layer which will play with normal triggering and polyphony. I have also set the drawbars the same as patch 903 and added a similar amount of leakage, by listening to the harmonics. Its not a great organ nor identical to 903 but it works (I made it originally for someone else for a specific use). PM me if you're curious.

The issue with using a VAST organ vs. KB3 for the solution is that the VAST organ doesn't have phase-locked notes which is why I didn't recommend a VAST organ as an option.
