Howdy dear Kurz users.
I am a musician/recording engineer in Adelaide, South Australia.
I have a background in electronics, and therefore have been able to keep my old gear functional. I am still gigging at 57 y.o.
Started with a Fender Rhodes, a Farfisa Synthorchestra, then a Korg Polysix.
When the Yamaha DX-7 came out I had to have one. Proud to say I was one of the few that could actually program the beast within. Got myself an Emax 1, (which I still use live, thanks to SCSI2SD, giving me four virtual SCSI drives on a single SD card, and a new O-LED display). When I bought my Kurz K2000 (around 1993), the world opened up, and was strangely familiar due to my extensive experience with the DX-7. I quickly realized I needed the P-RAM option, and 64 MB of Sample Ram. (cost: approx $1000 Australian) With many weeks of painstaking work, I was hooked.
Since then, I've had a K2500 (With KDFX installed by myself), a PC 361, and now a PC3K7. I cannot imagine life without Kurzweil. (..and my newly tricked Emu Emax).
I have a lot of great Kurzweil Programs that I can share. Even ones that I created in the K2000 days. (3 layers). Yes, I had to come up with a patch for "Jump". (I still play in an 80's covers band.....it's been 26 years now). And some very good B3 simulations using just three layers.
Anyway Greetings to all, and I hope someone can help me with the Libor B3 programs. (Still getting my head around the new effects system).
Cheers, Kim Webster. (kwbstr@yahoo.com.au)
