Hi everyone it's nice to find a group of Kurzweil lovers.
I own an SP2XS and a new SP5 and I looooove the SP5. It's an amazing keyboard for the money.
I'm actually a trumpet player but piano is my roots and I recently went back to it after a 35 year absence. I have an upright piano as well but there's nothing like having an instrument that is always in tune and the Kurzweil is the only one that actually sounds like a piano. Believe me I tried them all....to death ! I find it funny when people say things like the Roland sound is better yada yada which leads me to wonder how anyone can make a living with tin ears LOL.

Anyway I mostly play classical piano since it's the best way to improve your chops but I have a weak spot for Keith Emerson and have mastered most of Tarkus in it's original time and have recently begun re-writing some of the 5/4 sections in 13/8 for fun.

I should mention I haven't been a gigging musician since my much younger days and even then only on trumpet. I make my living in high power electronic engineering which basically means I can afford to be a musician LOL.
