New to the board. Long time Kurzweil user. I've been through a long line of Kurzweil products starting with a K2000, K2000RS, K2500, K2500R, PC2R, K2600, PC3, and PC3K7. Currently gig in a top 40/classic rock/chick rock band called NAWTY. We play everything from Adele,Pink & Lady Gaga, to Journey, Boston, Bon Jovi & AC DC, to Patsy Cline & Donna Summer. Current rig is a Nord Electro 3 73 over a Kurzweil PC3K7 midied to a rack with a Roland Fantom XR and Creamware MiniMax Klangbox. I mixdown through an Ashly LX 308 stereo line mixer - stereo out to the PA and mono out to a JBL PRX615 for my onstage monitoring. I played in a band called The Rock Doctors ten plus years ago, hence the handle rockdoctor1.

Hi Rockdoctor,

nice rig you have! The Nord/Kurzweil combi seems very popular. I have a Nord Electro 3 and a PC3 as well, though if I had a PC3K, the Electro would almost be redundant, apart from that I like the waterfall keyboard.

The Creamware stuff is also very nice. I have a Noah EX, and to my ears the Minimax is still on par with the Minimoog emulations out there.

Thanks! the waterfall keys are exactly why I need the Nord. I should also add that I run it through a stereo modded Neo Ventilator. Sounds really sweet! Saves hauling a leslie around like I used to. I love all the Klangboxes. I also have the Pro-12 and Prodyssey that stay at home. Wish Creamware would have come out with an Oberheim SEM version of the klangbox.
