I've been playing keys now for the past 20 years and play in a live function band as well as a small jazz duo. I've been looking for a serious stage piano that would have the versatility to perform other sounds with the group. So far I'm really impressed with the SP4-7. I know it doesnt have the same features as its bigger brothers in the Kurzweil universe but I love the sounds and feel / simple layout of the keyboard. I am excited to try some of the PC3 sounds that work on it!
Hi domalley, I have a SP4/7 and it is a wonderful Instrument. There are lots of free sounds and the format of pc3LEx-files works 100%, but not the files of pc3. I have made bad experiences.
But you do not need the sounds of pc3. Look at the sounds of Dave Weiser or Barb&Co and enjoy!
