I feel your pain - I wansnt happy with them either (I was going to purchase a hammond sk1 or one of the Nords) .

What I did instead was get a Neo Vent Mini for the ORGAN (obviously dont get a the Instruments version of the vent)

The Vent completes the sounds I want in a keyboard it also greatly enhances the electric pianos to make them sound just perfect.

Cost me about £200 (UK) , so I guess about $300 US. The mono out of my LE3 then goes to a DI box - one output to my Amp on stage the output to the Desk / PA.

THanks for your Statement, didn't you have any problems with the combination of the mini vent and the internal leslie effect?

Yes - you will get a doubling of the Leslie effect - so what I did was remove the internal LesLie FX so you just have the plain organ - the vent does the rest .

Some people did mention that if you disable the FX it not only removes the Leslie but the amp simulation and other things as well - which is true - but to be honest it sounds great.

You can take any old crap organ sound - put it through the vent and it makes it sound 100 times better.

I have an old Kurz ME1 - great on it's own for piano, rhodes, clav etc - the organ sounds on it are naff beyond belief - I play it through a vent and the Rhodes and Hammond sounds come to life.

The Nord 5d and Hammond SK1 are double the price of an LE6. LE6+vent is a great combo (in my humble opinion)
