Here's a clip from a performance/clinic I did on 9-25-12. I've had the PC3K8 a couple of months, I'm starting to find my way around it. Clip starts rockin around 3:50. I also talk about the keyboard at the end. TZ
Hi,
TZ, that's an awesome clinic!!!

Fran
Thanks. The PC3K8 is an awesome keyboard. I'm still finding my way around. I found some good analog sounds here that I was able to edit to my needs. I'll post some soon. For synth I had been a Triton user for over 10 years. I'm no stranger to Kurzweil gear though. I've had a K1000 rack, 2 micro pianos, a K2000, K2VX, PC88MX, and a fully expanded PC2x. TZ
This is one of the harder transcriptions I've done. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close. "Presto Vivace" by the band UK, written by Eddie Jobson. It was originally performed on a Yamaha CS-80. I really took advantage of the PC3K8's set up mode for this one.
I've been a fan of the Doors for 45 years. My first portable keyboard was a Gibson G101 organ, I bought it because that's what Ray was playing. The Acoustic poster of the Doors hung in my bedroom through my teenage years. My first real concert was the Doors at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago in '69. I saw them again in '70. Here's my interpretation of the Doors' song "The Crystal Ship." Thanks to youtube I listened to several of Ray's live performances. I tried to do a respectful rendition, I put a little of "me" in there, but there's a lot of Ray's in there too. He was an inspiration and influence on me musically. He made it "cool" to be a keyboard player. His album credit was "keyboards." May he rest in Peace. I know Ray and Jim are already having a beer at heaven's bar. he was the first "keyboard hero."
I posted a note for note transcription on Scribd for those people that would like to have a copy of this.

Just had a listen to this and thought it was nicely done. I'm just learning some Doors now (I'm in my fifties, what took me this long?), so will add it to the list. I downloaded your trans. Thank-you.
