Yes, I´ve tried to use the recommended sound tower software for that, with no luck. So I started to read the artis manual instead and found the solution to be very simple.

I have an old mac connected via usb and with that configuration:

1. "Storage" on the Artis, then "pc" as device (1/4)
2. param/channel to 3/4 or 4/4, as in "Load"(fill) or (overwrite)
3. hit + and artis will show up as a virtual drive on your desktop.
4. Copy the file, for example jumpjoe.pc3 found in the vault, to the drive.
5. Press "assign" and your done. The new thing is found under Program, User starting with 257.
