Lots of questions. Most of the brass patches come split several times across the keyboard, which makes for some pretty bad sounding parts. Why? I don't care for that at all. When I find a program I like, I want it to be spread across the keyboard. I can do my own splitting. These built-in splits make using these programs a little tough. Yes, there is probably a way to go into them individually and edit them, layer by later...I tried that and things started going awry as a some notes were playing that I wasn't even touching as I begand editing these programs.

So yes, another "snag". This PC3K8 is FULL of them, it would seem. Great brass programs that, unfortunately, have these built-in splits that wreak havoc on playing specific parts where consitency is required.

Have you tried the Brass sounds in the orchestra bank? They are consistent across the keyboard.
I tend to use SETUP mode whenever I want specific instruments instruments sounding in certain key ranges.
