Any news when OS 4.0 will be released? In January it was said that it would be "Coming soon".

Two months later still in Beta phase? Just wondering.

Yes. Multiple things going in parallel and everything will converge soon.

Stay tuned to Kurzweil website and social media.

Everything here is super low-key (no pun intended, but if you're smiling then :ugeek: )

So is everyone else wondering when 4.0 swupdate is coming or is the launch dead-quiet because 'software' ?

I can understand bugs. So is there any inside news you can let slip Fran? or perhaps you could nudge one of Kurzweil's marketing staff to give us advance notice ahead of general media?

I've been staring at a Nord 3 for some months now. I really need to see a v4.0 before I make a silly purchase decision.

Would you be able to confirm the following at this point (it might help me to avoid making a silly purchase of a like-new Yamaha Montage from the guy in the next town over rather than saving my spondulicks for an SP4):
In my past I spent much time compiling a stellar bank of FM sounds that I saved on my old Mac as SYSEX files and uploaded into my DX7 (and TX7 and TX802 modules. They still work but a new Kurz would obviously be better). Would I be able to load those SYSEX files into a PC4 or Forte v4? If so .... oochimama, now that would be serious progress in the industry!
Thanks,
Kurzhead

Hi,

Sysex... if the files are 6-op classic compatible files, and the files are well constructed! (we've seen some online with mistakes in the headers!!!!) then we should be able to read them. If you want to test one, send it to me and I'll try to load it and see what happens.

Regarding shipping dates overall, it's one of the greatest mysteries of our times ;)

Regards,
Fran
