How to control a PC3 from a DAW (Logic Pro X)?

What I mean by that is that I'd like to be able to pull up a list of my PC3's programs from within Logic and assign them to tracks (without touching the PC3).

I found a knowledgebase article that explains how to manually send Bank and Program changes, but is there something (a downloadable plug-in perhaps) that will help Logic treat my PC3 like a virtual instrument and display all the program names so I don't have to enter program changes by entering the numbers manually every time?

Thanks for any insights!

I found a thread on rolling your own Logic Pro Instrument Definition Files but the bad news is that you have to copy and paste the programs by hand from a Cakewalk INS file. Apparently Logic Pro lacks an INS import utility like Reaper and Anvil Studio and Rosegarden have.

The good news is that the Cakewalk files are readily available here in the files section of ksetlist. :)
