(kurz newbie) read the manual.
I go to storage load up a patch that bit is fine - but where does it store the patch, it doesnt give me the choice of where to save the patch - although it works successfully - i cant find where it has stored the patch

Pages 11-4 to 11-7 in the manual detail exactly how storage works and where files are stored.
Page 11-5 specifically addresses the directory process and how to create directories within the PC3LE
Pages 11-8 to 11-10 explain how to reload those files back into the PC3LE
Pages 11-10 and 11-11 explain how to move those stored files to an external storage device outside the domain of the PC3LE.
It's important to understand the above concepts and equally important to have copies of your work outside of the PC3LE. In the event that you need to reload the operating system (as upgrades to the operating system are offered by Kurzweil) a reloading of the operating system wipes out any user programs created. If you don't have a copy of these programs to reload they will be permanently lost so it is recommended that the programs are stored to a extermal media device in the event a reload is necessary.
