Ok now: Surely i'm doing something wrong; just don't know where to look/what to change.
Recently i bought a CME UF50 as extra keys for my pc3le8 (and ofcourse 9 sliders as controllers)
Bought it cheap so i will not nag about the feel of the keys..
I hooked it up to my PC3LE8 via MIDI
example setup:
PC3LE8 in program mode: channel 1 piano (active channel), channel 2 kb3
CME setup: all sliders assigned to midi channel 2 controllers 14 to 22 (drawbar settings) and the footswitch to midi channel 2, controller 80 (rotary slow/fast). The keys itself also send data to MIDI channel 2.
When playing the PC3LE8 the piano sounds just fine (when program 15 SmiLe/RkyRaccoo among others is selected the polyphony sucks: up to 6.., but with a regular piano program no complaints).
The sound on channel 2 is playable, sliders function as drawbars, but effects are not in use (and therefore also no rotary control)
When active channel set to channel 2, playing, and playing on the CME (sending info to channel 2) all effects work fine.
Somehow, when played over MIDI, to a channel other than the active channel, the effects don't work.
Like I said: surely there's a function that needs to be set on (or off) to get it to work: please advise
Thanks in advance

Hi,
The PC3LE has a limited amount of FX. If programs use a large amount of FX, when you try to use them together some of them might lose their FXs. KB3 programs normally use a large amount of FXs.
In Master Mode you can select your FX as Performance (current selected program has priority) or Multitrack (lower channels have priority over higher channels).
In your case, it probably does not matter as probably there isn't enough FX resources to those 2 programs at the same time in the unit, therefore, channel 2 will lose its FXs and channel 1 will keep sounding ok.
Solutions?
- Try to reduce the FX used by the program in channel 1.
- In non-KB3 situations, try to share FXs (use AUX FXs that are shared among different channels).

Fran
