Hi,
A thread for YOUR shameless self-promotion.
What are YOU doing with your keyboards lately? Share a video or an audio link and let us know what specific model you are using and how you are using your keyboard.
And I'll start: Latest song I put keyboards on is a ballad for a hard rock/AOR multi-artist project. Jean Paul's Dream Vision - Why. I used mostly the K2700 and K2088. Actually, just to not be changing from one to another all the time, I just moved some of the K2088 and put them in the K2700 and played everything from the K2700. Recorded into Cubase.
For background pads the way I always record them is to play multiple sounds in slightly different ways, and then mix them as I want. Never ever I record the MIDI track with the pads. Always the audio and I treat each track as its own instrument. Pads get alive when you do it this way.
The piano is a stack piano because the project leader wanted that kind of sound.
The final mix is out of my hands. Normally, and I'm sure you have experienced this, in any project with many artists, without any control from your part, the keyboards don't end up mixed up the way you would do it, but that's life.
The singer was Lee Small (Shy, Lionheart, Sweet...).
Mar Lopez was the violin player.
The text of the news below is in Spanish, but there is a bit of the song in there.
Now, tell us, what are YOU up to?
Regards,
Fran
