Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, although not new to playing. I'm 53 and have been playing in bands for 40 years now and actually playing for a little longer than that. I learnt to play organ rather than piano because that's what my dad bought for the house ! I took weekly lessons for about 4 years learning to play the Anchor Way ! And by using various buskers books too. I'm old enough to remember the first ever 101 hits for buskers coming out, from there I moved on to playing jazz organ. My main musical influence is Jon Lord, although of course I enjoy and respect many more players, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Don Airey and so on. I started playing in bands at a young age 13, playing. A bit of organ when my dad would let me take it out of the house ! But I also picked up a bass guitar. I played bass on and off but my true love is keyboards. I currently play I a couple of bands, a rock band called The Amazing Jack's Dog, we play plenty of Deep Purple and other brilliant stuff like that, I also play in a Gary Moore tribute band called G-Force which is extremely fulfilling !

I bought a Kurzweil PC3X when they first came out which seemed after a period when Kurzweil were in decline a bit. I love it it's an outstanding keyboard, I have the kore 64 in and also picked up a ribbon too. I particularly like the way sounds can be layered in set ups, and also muted or active too so I can stack in a load of sounds and fiddle quickly at rehearsal to refine if it's not quiet right. I also picked up a gig piano set up from Dave Weiser which really good and I'd recommend that to anyone.

I would hope to be able to share some of my set ups for people to try out, I haven't gone into the depths of real programming yet, I tend to gather and blend and tweak. But I'm more than happy for anyone to have a look at them.

Peace Joy & Happiness to all

Stu
