Hi all:

I joined this community a while ago, just shortly after purchasing my Kurzweil Forte from the incomparable Dave Weiser. Saw this thread and thought to introduce myself . . .

My name is Marty, and I have been a professional musician for over 40 years! I started out as a clubdate musician, working weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, proms, niteclubs, hotels, resorts, as well as concert stages. I am a keyboardist by trade - pianos, synths, organs, percussion (vibe, marimba, xylophone, etc.) - but have also been playing guitar for nearly the last 30 years.

Most of my time these days doing music has been split between teaching voice and piano privately, and music directing. I have worked and am working as MD for several Broadway stars, as their accompanist/music director and arranger. I have written shows/arrangements for several of these folks who also bring their entertainment to resorts and cruise ships. I also MD for several local community and school theater groups. It is for my work in these shows that I made my Forte purchase, just after my trusted Korg T-2 died just before an outdoor concert I was doing. As usual I did my research, decided on a Kurzweil keyboard, and thanks to Dave ultimately dropped my bucks on a Forte . . . and it has been well worth the price! I was drawn to Kurzweil many, many years ago when I rented a K1000 for some concerts I was doing, and then many years later invested in a SP88 and a Micropiano for my show rig, and then finally the Forte has now become my one and only show instrument I need to bring with me and my Bose system.

I create a lot of Broadway multi's as I look to design the best sound library I can for each show that I do. If you are performing any Broadway music and need multis, please let me know and I if have them I would be more than happy to share them.

Thanks,
Marty!
