Hi all,
I'm Marco and like the previous poster - nice coincidence - I'm 41 years old and from Italy (Rome).
I play in a cover band that does misc rock/funk/pop (Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Toto, 1970s dance hits etc.) and I'm also interested in sound design and synth-based electronic music (ala Jarre, Vangelis, ...)
I recently sold my Hammond XK1 and Motif XS7 - despite I loved its sounds, particularly EPs and pianos, I found the Motif quite uninspiring as a musical instrument and I did't like the keybed at all.
I tried the Mac + MainStage route, but it didn't work: it's flexible, maybe even too much, but it doesn't feel like a "musical instrument" to me so I decided to go back to hardware with an all-around keyboard with great sounds and deep sound design capabilities.
I found a good deal and purchased a PC3 (the original 76 keys, still unsold at a store) that should arrive shortly. I'm looking forward to playing it, recreating the cover patches and going deep in the VAST engine!
As soon as I have something of value I'll be happy to share it here!
All the best
