I'm Warren from Jenison, MI USA.

I just purchased a new Artis (88 key) and found this site while looking for some Kurzweil resources. This is my first Kurzweil board, although I had a MicroPiano module back in the mid 1990s.

I've been a songwriter since the late 80s as well as a worship leader since the early 90s. I've also played in a few bands including my current band, FreeHand. We do an eclectic mix of songs from the 1940s to 1990. I needed s simple board that sounded good and landed on a Artis. Had a Yammie MOXF8, which I found to be a bit much for live use. First time out with the Kurzweil last week was a blast. Layers and splits on the fly and great bread & butter sounds! Fun board to play.

I do not create sounds, but do plan to load up the editor and dig in a bit as the Artis has the PC3 and Kore64 rom.

Looking forward to hanging out here and hopefully contributing!
