Hi, after having used e KME61 for few months I fall in love with Kurzweil, so I purchased a SP4-7. The first impression is really positive, but what about a free editor? Is it possible to write one? Where are the SysEx specs?

No, it is apparently impossible to write a free editor, because Kurzweil did not release the sysex specs for their instruments (only soundtower knows how to manage them).
You may find a free librarian somewhere (I read somthing about this months ago, but don't remember where).
