I play in a function band most every weekend.
Average 150+ gigs a year.
Been doing this going on 12 years now.

Prior to that it was mostly weekend warrior stuff. Jam nights. Whatever was fun.
Prior to that it was 5-6 nights a week 50 weeks of the year. Mostly casinos.
Did that for a long time and got tired of living in a hotel.

So I've used most every bit of kit there is and have gigged with the real versions of
what these newer boards try to emulate with varying degrees of success.

I've just purchased a Forte.

Previously recently used a Korg Kronos. (Horrible construction. Need strong reading glasses to see the lettering in the display and a stylus to select things. Argh!!) Then a Yamaha CP4 with a Nord Stage. (Awesome sound. Too much stuff. The Nord is not easy to patch navigate on a cigarette size display )

And yes they addressed a bunch of the Kronos stuff too late for me and Nord did the same thing kind of and made the E5 the new stage. Sort of. But once again not really the right thing.

And now I'm happy. Very happy.
Hopefully I can contribute here and there.
