Nice to meet you!
I have a PC2X and PC3K8 both loaded. I am working on original music right now.
One thing I wish is that there was a utility to transfer programs from the PC2X to the PC3K. Many of the objects are already on the PC3K, but they didn't bring all the programs. I am building some by hand. If anyone would like to help get hold of me. If anyone has documentation to the complete parameter list for programs on these machines it would be a great help, we could build a map of PC2 vs PC3 parameters. Is it possible someone at Kurzweil has such a list?
Thanks,
Jesse

Hi and greetings from Germany!
I don´t know exactly about the PC2, but can´t you SIMPLY load the sounds from the 2 into the 3? I mean with the help of a computer?
You even can load sounds from the old K-series into the PC3. Some tweaking necessary, but well, it works. However, better than re-programming everything manually.
For an exaustig documentary, maybe get Cowzars PC3 guide. Look for Mastering VAST.

According to Kurzweil the files are not compatible. If I had the file layout documentation, I bet I could write a program to convert them. If Kurzweil would share the documentation, I would share the results.
Lacking that, converting them by hand I will eventually figure it out anyway.

Hello, some thoughts I have:
The PC3 has (should have) everything under the hood what the PC2 has, and more. Following that logic it should be a piece of cake for a PC3 to do the sounds of a 2-model. How about simply trying to import a sound "raw" for a test? You might also rename the ending to a PC3-compatible format and see what´s happening. Well, safe your stuff before

You are correct. The PC3K has everything needed under the hood and more. You have some good ideas, please join me in discussing this further in a thread I just posted in the general discussion area.
Thanks!
