Hi I'm Tim. Artis user of about 7 years. Had a fuse issue within 1st year of ownership but since then it's behaved like a dream until the last year (more below).
I've worked in IT for 30 years and have just been made redundant. But I'm ok with this as I'm helping to care for my dad who has dementia. I have used the Artis for musical theatre work creating countless user multis, but recently ...until my problem .. have just been using Mainstage 😴
My knowledge is basic but I was helped at length in the early days by Jean Robert Bellefeuille at Kurzweil to whom I still owe a load of thanks.
Here's hoping someone will be able to advise on my problem and I can then inform my keyboard repairer. Basically it is crashing after powering up with a blue screen with a horizontal line across that appears at different heights on each restart. Sometimes I hear clicking just near the power switch and then it crashes. My workaround till today was just wait a few min and power up again and then it behaved, but not today. I have a link to a video that I will send once I have posted the issue formally.
Cheers, Tim
Welcome Tim, sorry for your dad (I know well how it is...).
The problem with your Artis looks similar to what it happened to my brand new PC4-7 a couple of years ago, and it eventually required a main board replacement (luckily, it was still under warranty). But I'm not a Kurzweil technician, and the solution may be easier for you. Hope somebody else can give you some hint. Good luck!
C.
