Hi all, long time Kurzweil player, but my first time on this forum. Several years ago I transitioned from my K2600XS to my present PC3 (to which I did major acceleration damage from a drop at one point, but had it repaired & am still babying it along). I was actually a DSP engineer at Kurzweil in the mid-90s, so it's satisfying to know that some of my algorithms are spinning away in the keyboard I play.

I play keys (and saxophones, etc.) in a funk/80s band in Vancouver, BC, and my PC3 is my only keyboard. I don't do a ton of program creation - 90% of the sounds I need I've created using setups, just splitting/layering the built-in programs. I rely on a lot of splits, to avoid hauling a second keyboard around (I have enough to carry as it is!).
