Hey Kurzweil Lovers,
I’m Garzo-PC3K improviso-enthusiast muso joining ksetlist.
I wish to to say at the outset: that I am really grateful for the all the email assistance that Jean at Kurzweil Customer Support and that David Weiser (Kurzweil P&D; & NYC Broadway Music productions muso) have been to my Kurzweil music gear enquiries. They are both so fab’ in always being keen to help and respond to my Kurzweil enquiries, how good is that, so good! ;-)
I live in sunny south-east Queensland, and eastern state in the large down-under island of Australia, in the southern hemisphere resting on one of the platonic plates of the Blue Dot of the Milky Way galaxy ;-).
I play improviso guitars, flute, and keyboards, though keyboards were my first love!
Brisbane is my home city, and I played a portable Farfisa organ in High School bands in the late 60’s, and an L-100 model Hammond organ with Leslie speaker cabinet (just can’t recall now whether it was the 122 or the 147 cabinet) in Brisbane pop bands during the early 70’s.
Have been buying and playing various keyboards and MIDI sound modules since the early 80’s.
Have enjoyed in times past the Kurzweil Micro Piano MIDI sound module and the Kurzweil PC2R MIDI sound module (+Orch’ & Keys ROMs).
I owned a PC3Le6 for a short while, and then sold this in the anticipation of buying the PC3K6 keyboard, mainly to get the different lighter-action keybed, and did, and love it! ;-).
Have also added the KORE 64 & GERMAN D GRAND ROMs to my PC3K6 keyboard, & enjoying them ;-).
Re my use of the PC3K6 keyboard:
Home music room improvisational keyboard playing;
Sequencing & recording original instrumental music.
Music I love? Well, nearly all genres of music:
I grew up in Brisbane in the prolific music era of the fab’ 60’s ;-) …
awaiting every Beatles & Moody Blues LP records to come out!
Music became my life passion, and I lived for music! …
that made the angst of life worth the living!
Watched Woodstock ’68 on TV, and thus also came to enjoy American bands such as Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, & also SANTANA!
Greg Rollie and Carlos Santana have both had a significant influence upon my improvisational keyboard & electric guitar playing!
Favourite music?
Multifarious! From back to the past with Bach & Handel, Tschaikovsky, Liszt, & Rachmaninoff, & Saint Saens, etc., to back to the future with the Beatles, Moody Blues, YES, & Rick Wakeman, Elton John, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, & Lee Ritenour, FourPlay, Dave Grusin, Bob James, the Piano Guys, Yanni, & George Winston, & Acoustic Alchemy, & yes many of the 80’s bands (Spandau Ballet; Icehouse; Simple Minds; REO Speedwagon; Genesis; Dream Academy, etc.), & yes continuing into the 20th century still Santana, Joe Satriani, the Piano Guys, & Cold Play, etc.
Looking forward to the Kurzweil Program & Setups treats shared with the other Kurz-enthusiasts at ksetlist.
Enjoy the creativity & synergy of music-creation, Forever Young!
Cheers,
Garzo ;-).
