Hi all,

Delaware Dave steered me here from another forum and upon reading the FAQ section I see that an introduction is in order.

My real name's Gary and I live in Ontario, Canada.

I just sold off my trusty old Korg TR76 and placed an order for a shiny, new PC3K8. Monday being a holiday I can expect delivery in 4 to 5 business days so somewhere between this Friday coming or the following Monday.

In the meantime the more I read and see on the web, the more I wonder if I haven't simply purchased a new keyboard or joined an elite religious cult

I'm not anything you would call professional, but over the years I've learned to bang out a few good tunes by ear, and I'm still in the never ending process of learning and mastering the art.

I've loved keys since I was a kid and was hooked on progressive rock back in the 70's and now that I can finally afford the toys I try my best to make my dreams come true.

My tastes have matured since then and nowadays I'll listen to and play along with anything from R&B to Motown to New Age to Punk to New Wave and anything in between from Folk to Mozart.

The only music I cannot wrap my head around is Disco, Opera and Chinese Gong Music.

Anyway, hopefully my Kurzweil will be my last ever keyboard purchase because everything I've read seems to indicate that it is the stratospheric zenith of keyboards.
