Hi everyone,

I found a great program (191 Goldfinger Brass) that suits a song I am working on for a show exactly right, especially the way the note bend assigned to the mwheel functions.

So I call it up as a layer as part of a setup, but now the mwheel control of the note bend is no longer there. Does anyone know why this is and how can I reassign that in setup? I have come across this before with other things but it hasn't been a deal breaker until now.

Much appreciated!

Anton

The control setup #126 controls all of the controllers for programs, but not for setups. So in each zone of the setup you need to tell that zone what you want the controller to control. So go to the zone in question, find the controller at the bottom of the screen (Wheel) and set its destination to control whatever it is controlling in the program you imported into that zone.

The reason for this is that you could bring in two programs into the setup and the wheel controls volume for one program and pitch in the other program. Now you move the wheel, for both programs when the wheel is moved it will modulate both volume and pitch at the same time for both zones simultaneously. In order to avoid this you could either assign a different controller for each function or assign zone mute to a switch so that the zone's controllers is muted when the switch is off and the other zone's controllers is muted when the switch is on. It's what makes the Kurz such a powerful controller. Of course power comes with some complexity. Re-read chapter 7 (setups).
