Hello i have some samples that i need to load in my Kurzy PC3K8. I got the samples from my cubase projects. I mixdown and export them as 16bit 44100Hz wav or aif file (I tried both) and when I try to load them I got the error from Kurzy; Unknown File Format or something like that. Kurzy says that this file does not compatible with her. What am I doing wrong?

Hm, consider my answer like "half-knowledge", because I did not play around with that very much yet....
A wav-file might be a problem since it is no "object" style data. A wav is a part of a keymap. So you either have to make it a part of a keymap inside the PC3, or build a keymap with it outside the PC3 and then load that keymap. A keymap is an object that can be loaded.
The java based programm "kurzfiler" can do that. You can find it here for example: http://sourceforge.net/projects/kurzfiler/ . It´s a bit aged, originally written to work with the K2xxx series, but it does it´s job the same for the pc3.
Open a project, load the wav in, tell it what´s the root key and export it as keymap. It also puts a basic sound-program out that can be chosen rigth away in the PC3 to play that keymap. You can edit this keymap and program in the PC3 further and tweak it to your needs. Editing a keymap is done while you edit a program, go to the page where you choose the keymap, place the cursor over it and hit edit again. Then you are "inside" the keymap.
By the way, you can edit EVERY keymap inside the PC3 this way, no matter ROM or RAM.
Good luck!

Ensure that the wav file is exported as raw pcm data - no compression. The PC3 can't decode compressed wav files.

Well, now I also can add some new experience to that.
I edited and looped lots of files with "Endless Loop" recently, a freeware programm. The output format is done in a special way, the Kurz can´t read that. The files were also 44,1khz and 16bit. Kurzfiler notices also that there is something wrong. There might be other programs that do it the same way.
My solution: I used "Wavosaur" (another freeware) and converted it with that to 16bit (though it WAS akready 16bit). Don´t matter, just do it again, the output format of Wavosaur works good with the Kurzweil.
Wavosaur also has a batch-processing function. With that you can go over many many files at once in seconds. Very helpful while you build keymaps with lots of samples.
Good luck!

Kurzfiler needs Java installed.

Dudes you are totally awesome! Wavesour did the work! I only loaded and saved them as wav and after that they can be loaded as they should in my kurzy.
