Can anyone tell me what might be the best and/or easiest way to create a "horn swell". I have put together a nice Memphis Horn Section type "Program" and I'd like it to "swell" either with pressure or by itself. I worked with the LFO but no luck. I'm obviously missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

For swells I actually find the expression pedal does the best job. I assign specific horns to the expression pedal and use the pedal to introduce and backoff the swells. I found this approach to be the most effective for how I use the horns. Key pressure would also work but I've found I get more expression of the swell with an expression pedal than I do with key pressure. Now if the PC3 used polyphonic aftertouch then key pressure would work great but the polyphonic aftertouch feature is not included on the PC3

Very smart idea, delaware dave! Thanks for the tip. My problem is I am the band's "horn section" although we have a member who plays sax & keyboards ... I pick up the slack for the sax ... and I stand up to play a stack of 3 keyboards because I'm also the "percussion section" <vbg> There are some orchestras with horns that have built-in "swells" that seem to work with key pressure. I'll take a better look at them and see if there's something I can work with there. But I really like your expression pedal idea. I can see where that would work well. Thanks again!
