Hi all,
I have recently bought a Kurzweil SP4-7 and have notice at lease 8 keys seem to play softer, not as bright or as loud in volume as the rest of the keys.....any ideas?

Hello, I have an SP4/7 nearly 5 years and I got 2 times new keys. Both times mechanical Problem.
First you should reset the Kurzweil.
And you have to know, that you shouldn´t Import real-pc3-sounds. They make Problems. Use sounds of pc3LEx - there are lots of them in free download and they sound great!
If the problem is still there, so you should contact Kurzweil-Support - they are very helpful and they answer very fast!
But you shouldn´t consider to give the sp4/7 back to the seller, because the combination of sounds, weight und fun is perfect! I prefer it though I have a Nord5, too!!

Thanks for getting in touch, I didn't think it was serious at first....but now it may well be faulty....anyway....I have contacted Kurzweil and will wait on reply
