Hello all:
Encountered an issue during gig set up. Line voltage was a 126v, and board booted up normally. A few seconds later the screen became garbled . I could not navigate the screen at all. Later once I got home, it booted up slowly, normal screens appeared, but could not switch screens.... then it became garbled. Upon reboot it went blue, one time, then garbled another.

Any words of wisdom, as to how to correct would be appreciated.
Al

Open up the user compartment on the bottom of the keyboard and reseat all of the connectors then see if this fixes the issue. If this doesn't fix your issue then contact Kurz support at 'support@kurzweil.com'.

Kurzweil Support US recommends the following:
1. Hard reset if possible
2. Reload OS 2.21 if possible
3. Change Lithium CR2032 battery

If that doesn't work, probably a hardware issue.

Will report back on how Steps 1-3 address the problem.

So here's the bad news. Main engine board fried. Cost to replace the main board over $900, and thus cannot be economicly repaired. I could only wish the parts were not prohibitively expensive. I wonder if reaching out to Kurzweil would help?

$900? It would seem that it might be worthwhile for a tech to do some component level testing. A few hours of tech time finding the bad component plus parts surely would be less expensive than a board replacement.
