Not 100% sure about yours, but yes, over the last year or so I've discovered various bugs in the PC3le system. Although I can't specifically recall the moves that activated them I do remember things like lights blinking and unit freezing amongst other strange behaviours. Most involved my use of 'set-ups' with KB3 patches in them. Also, patch change commands within the setup to de-activate a KB3 organ in order to regain polyphony (which is severely hampered by even using a KB3 sound in that sort of configuration.)
I contacted Kurzweil support, and Jean was very thorough and helpful. They were indeed shown to be bugs and he said that hopefully down the track fixes might be offered. He also archived my issues for further examination I suppose.
I'm very much hoping that Kurzweil do follow these things up as the workaround is somewhat limiting. Still, it's a clever and flexible keyboard at any price.

Hi All,

My unit hangs / crashes seemingly at random places. It is always when playing - and then changing a patch.
Yesterday I was just going through all the sounds one by one - and it kept crashing sometimes when I switched.

The problem I have now is - whose fault is it ? - if I send it back to where I bought - they said they will send me another or repair this one - but I think that wont work - as I'll just encounter the same problem if it's an operating system problem. The annoying thing for me is that there is no other keyboard at this level within the same price range - and I intend to use it live (which currently it's not fit for)

Call support. They will let you know if there is a hardware issue (like a loose cable that can cause blinking in LEDs) or it is a known OS issue. There will be an OS update addressing the KB3 issues.

I've emailed kurzweil support twice now and havent even had a receipt of the email - 10 days.

It's impossible to replicate - it just happens every now and then - I cant afford that to happen in a gig - so will send it back - which is a shame, as I was getting used to the sounds - organs - not so used to - sounds like I should have gone for the PC361 perhaps - but at double the price - I wont be doing that.

My only other non kurzweil alternative is the MOX6 I think - but that is still £100 more than the LE6

jean got back to me yesterday, said it needs to go back for investigation / repair to the supplier. Sent it back today and will get it back soon - hopefully

Im selling my pc3le.. I thought I got somethin nice, but this thing is bad with all the bugs. I thought about the pc3k series after I sell it, but I think yamaha, or other will get my money..
