I've been using a Sandisk 8 Gig Cruzer Fit for the past two years in my Kurzweil without any issues.

You might have to reformat the drive in order to wipe out the crapware that comes loaded with the drive.

You also might have trouble finding the 8 Gig version these days. If so, there's always the 16 Gig version which might work.

Actually what drive are you using right now? You may have to use a special utility to reformat the drive and eliminate any bootable software loaded on the drive at the factory.

Download a bootable software called Gparted and burn it to a CD. Then boot from that CD and use Gparted to remove all partitions on the pen drive and reformat the drive with a single partition formatted to FAT32.

Your problem is probably not the drive but rather the crappy hidden partitions that manufacturers place on these drives.

Once you have the entire drive repartitioned and reformatted it should work OK with your PC3K.

Also make certain you are running the latest Kurzweil firmware in your keyboard.

Hello thank you formatted the pen drive for more gparted not worked. I tried to update the firmware and the following message appears

File PC3K241.KUF was not installed .

Install failed. (- 12)

First of all are you sure you selected the correct firmware file for the update? There are 4 to choose from. One with Kore64, one without and one With German Piano and one with Kore64 and German Piano.

Did you choose the right one for your configuration? Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.

Also are you certain you removed ALL hidden partitions with gparted and recovered all the space into a single FAT32 or VFAT partition?

What error messages are the pen drive giving you?
