Will there ever be a desktop editor for the SP5 ? I love this keyboard but it seems to be more or less the forgotten illegitimate child of the PC3K and SP4-8. The performance / dollar ratio of this keyboard is amazing along with almost all of the PC3K sounds. It would be nice though to have a little more flexibility in manipulating sounds and setups. When I perform a truncated version of ELP's Tarkus for example I use 16 setups which takes a considerable amount of time to enter. Still a great keyboard which I regularly recommend to anyone who'll listen LOL.
The truth is "Be careful what you wish for."
Kurzweil contracts all of its editors out to Soundtower which creates the buggiest, most unreliable, frustrating and useless software in the industry.
Consider yourself fortunate that you have not spent hours editing a bank of sounds only to find that the Soundtower software has corrupted your keyboard's memory to the point where only a factory reset can fix it
