Hello all!
I´ve been a Kurzweil fanfor a long time, and was able to buy my first not a long time ago (SP5). I love it.
But lately I have been facing an issue that gets me frustrated. After playing for a littlr, short while, the sound starts getting lagged regarding the key hit.
When playing some chords in a row, or a fast sequence, it seems that the system gets jammed and the sound starts coming after a second as if it had a delayed effect.
Anyone´s experienced something similar? I´ve had the piano for three years now, and where I live, this kind of thing is pretty expensive.
I already resetted to factory, and loaded the FW from the computer.
Any help before taking it to a delaer and pay for the repare, will be appreciated!
Cheers!
Hernán
Yes, contact support. they are very helpful.
There might be two problems:
1. You use PC3-programs, who disturb your Memory.
2. The Knob has a failure.
I had a similar Problem with my sp4/7 (it is nearly the same Keyboard).

Tom
When it starts to delay start moving every controller that the keyboard has (i.e. dials, sliders, etc.) and see if any one of these controllers is causing your issue. Also, as previously mentioned, do a hard reset but DO NOT load any programs imported from other machines (like the PC3) or even programs received from the KSet website (or any program you didn't program directly within the SP5 yourself). Also if you used an editor on any of the programs, like soundtower, do not import these sounds either.

I agree to delaware dave, because I had the same Problems:
1. Don´t use real pc3-programs, only pc3le-programs or sp4 or sp5-programs work without any problem.
2. Avoid (!!!) sound-Tower, because it "damages" your memory and you have to start programming - or let´s say installing your Keyboard up from firmware!
