…has the PC3 line been in production for so many years and they haven't still made a rack version.

I'm in engineering, not in sales, but I always get the same answer when I ask about it... distributors are not asking for it because customers are not asking for it... if many customers asked their dealers/distributors about it then it might be different...

Thanks for your answer. I'll try to find more people who are interested in purchasing rack version of the PC3 and ask them to disturb Kurzweil and local dealers to let the rack module exist ![]()

Unfortunately racks aren't worth the cost to develop anymore - that's what you'll get for an answer from the Big Three. And Kurzweil is not as big as the Big Three, so it's even less worth it for them to make one. PC3 rack will not ever happen, forget about it - I'm 100% sure about this, because there is far too many changes in PCB layout necessary to make it fit into rack format, which just isn't what Kurzweil needs to do at this point in time. Kurzweil needs to step up the game and produce something that will rival everything that Kronos can do.

So why is the INTEGRA-7 rack (!) module an "answer" from one of the Big Three too?

One in a decade!
You can rest assured Roland won't be making racks as much as they used to in the 90s. That's already the fact.
