Hi all.
Probably an easy fix to this, but in setup mode I want to switch between 2 sounds using the CC1 pedal to phase in 1 sound whilst phasing out another -effectively crossfading between the two. I've tried adjusting the entry and exit levels to be opposite e.g. entry-none / exit-127 on one channel and entry-127 / exit-none on the other, but this doesn't seem to do it.
Hopefully one of you wizards can help me out! ![]()

What # do you have the CC1 assigned to? 7 or 11? You've got me wondering if there is a Midi # for crossfader. Why don't you post the setup and sounds you are using. There has to be a way to crossfade.
I've got the CC1 assigned to 7. I"m still working on the sound (the intro for Funeral for a friend by Elton John) but will post it as soon as I'm done. I'm wanting to crossfade from the brass part to the phased strings.

Assign it to CC11 - this will keep the relative volumes of zones in the setup the same, but you'll get the crossfade anyways. Entry/exit values are static and only happen when you load a setup or switch to a next one... they don't crossfade in realtime. You need to use a controller for that, so modwheel should be perfect for the job. Or a CC pedal.
For both zones, map the modwheel to CC11. For the zone you want to be played when the modwheel is down, set Scale to -100% and Add to 127. That will do it. What this does is it flips the CC values to negative range (0 to -127) and this is then added (or rather, subtracted) to the value of 127, effectively reversing the behaviour of the controller for this zone.
Thanks so much! That's really helpful!!
