Hello there everyone,

Just got my first Kurzweil synth (a PC3) and am loving it so far. I really like the feel of the keyboard and the look of what VAST can do. My previous setup was fairly budget and ridiculously heavy
- a Yamaha P300 stage piano at nearly 40kg which I couldn't really lift on its own. Nice keyboard sounds and a good keybed. I was concerned that moving from fully weighted to semi-weighted wouldn't feel good but the PC3 is really nice to play and a good bit lighter!
- synth sounds were supplied by a Korg Micro X which was great to use out of the box with lots of good sounds/setups/arps but i found it a bit lacking when I tried to edit.
Now the PC3 will hopefully fulfill both these roles in one unit. Really impressed by the string and organ sounds out of the box but want to hear more synth sounds.

My love of synths comes from the early 80s but the music I play now tends to be a bit more rock/pop. I'm in a cover band doing keys and rhythm/acoustic guitar as required (sometimes both in the same song!). I also play piano in my church but don't think I'll use the PC3 there. I like to edit sounds so once I've got used to VAST, I'm looking forward to analogue programming heaven. Happy to share anything I create.
