Hi!
I'm Aleksi, a proud new owner of an used PC361. I've been wanting to buy a Kurz for about 20 years now, and finally found one in my price range. Believe me, I'm on could nine here.
I make all sorts of music. Usually I get inspired by a sound and then start building a song around it. The problem is that almost always the songs remain unfinished
While I'm posting I might as well ask a question: where on earth can you buy the sample rom expansion for this keyboard? I've been searching for hours now, and seems like those things just don't exist. Shame, because I was going to buy a sound pack but it requires 128Mb expansion to the memory. Any help here would be appreciated!
Well, back to my keyboard, still SO MUCH to try out ![]()
Hi,
The PC3, which has been discontinued for a bunch of years already, never had a user sample memory expansion. It did have a Kore64 expansion with guitars, brasses, drums and more sounds that ouldl complement your factory sounds.
It is still a great keyboard though... so have a lot of fun!
If you need user samples then, your keyboard would be:
Forte: 3.3 GB for user samples
Forte SE: 188 MB for user samples
PC3K: 128 MB for user samples
Regards,
Fran
Yeah, I actually contacted Kurzweil support about this and they said the same thing, so no samples for me
I just got confused since I opened the expansion slot and there clearly is a place for a second expansion when the Kore 64 is installed.
No biggie, I'll just have to ask the ppl at Synthcloud do their soundpacks really work without the expanded memory.
I think I'll stick to this model for some years now, it sounds absolutely amazing as it is! Thanks hipogrito for your reply ![]()
