Hi!
My name is Jan, and I live in the Netherlands. I currently own a Kurzweil Forte SE.
Often used alongside an Ensoniq SQ2 and Korg Triton Classic, the Kurz is truly the backbone of my sound. I mostly use the Kurzweil for Rhodes/piano/hammond, often layered with a pad of some sorts to lay a foundation. Then i have the Ensoniq for some raw synthesizer action, and the korg for all the other bells and whistles (litteraly).
I joined the forum to seek inspiration for the creation of sounds on the Kurzweil. After working my way through the owners manual, and trying a bit of sound-creation myself, I understand the massive potential that V.A.S.T. has as a synth engine, especially with the amount of resources available on the Forte SE. And frankly I feel the factory sounds don't really reflect that. So hopefully I'll learn something, properly get to grips with V.A.S.T. on the Forte SE, and be able to share!
Hi,
Welcome, and make sure you have the latest OS for your Forte SE http://kurzweil.com/product/forte-se/downloads/ .
It opens factory BANK B (256 new Programs) that expand greatly the keyboard.
Regards,
Fran
