Hi all. I am a new PC3K8 owner. I play in a couple of cover bands and currently use a Korg Kronos X (love the ability to split and layer, sounds are mostly good and really like set list approach to organization of setups) and a Yamaha Tyros 3 (love the organs and sax sounds). Not into delving too deep into my keyboards nor do I have much programming talent. I was looking for a good "cover band" keyboard with sounds that will "sit in the mix" well, with good factory sound sets etc., has shorter boot times than Kronos (very long and if there is any power outage need to spend minutes rebooting), etc. I really like the overall package of the Kurzweil as a gigging board and am happy a forum like this exists for sharing of cover band setups etc. Looking forward to participating on the forum.
