Hi, I bought a PC3K8 and after seeing how complicated it can be, I decided to join you guys. I'm classically trained (I still play some classical) but I'm also in a band which covers recent pop songs and older funk/disco songs in a disco/soul ish style. I used to have a Yamaha p85, which I sold, and a waldorf blofeld keyboard which I didn't sell but don't need for gigging anymore since the Kurzweil is more than enough to cover what both of them did.
I also played for musical theatre, but not with the Kurzweil, I wish I had it back then.
Hi and greetings from Germany! The Kurz just starts to become complicated (to a certain degree) when it comes to soundprogramming. To get your splits and layers, I guess its something quite commen like in other synth/workstations. With some experience a player can master this quite easily.
