I am an owner of Kurzweil SP4, and I am new to PC3 format, as I am new to playing keyboard too. I am learnign to play from about 15 months, and now I feel I need some more, So I looked around for SoundTower PC3 editor, as my SP4 doesn't have editing capabilities. But first I would like to check if PC3 can give me that what I am looking for.
I mostly play christian worship music in church and mostly use piano patches. I hope I can find here someone who plays piano worship or gospel music.

Hello and welcome. A PC3 is capable to do more that a SP, but I don´t know if you need that. The pianos should be quite the same on both machines and also a variety of other basic "butter and bread sounds". You have more voices so you can layer sounds more easily. And you have sequencing and other automated arpeggio functions. You should go to a shop with a PC-line synth and check if that´s what you need.
PC3 users don´t recommend the soundtower editor. It´s still full of bugs and strange functions.
But you can load sounds - that also run on the PC3 line - into your SP.
