Hi all. Happy to join this forum and anxious to learn the board I have (PC3K7)

I am a pro/ semi-pro musician from way back. I've played either full or part time since I was 18. A number of decades have passed since then.

For background, I am first and foremost a guitarist who has used midi from the late 80's on. I have used various sound modules over the years and still have and use them with my midi guitar. (Roland GR-50 & 30, Alesis QSR, Roland U220, and a Roland Fantom Rack). I do play keys as well, but that is my second instrument. I have began to devote more and more time to keys in the last few years.

I keep the old modules because there are some sounds that are unique to them even with outdated technology....the U220 has some sounds that just have a different density to them. I was using a Yamaha Motif ES-7 when we played out for both keys and as a sound module. I now have a Motif XS6 which is soon to be sold since I have made the jump to Kurzweil....That said, the motif xs still has the most convincing acoustic guitars of any keyboard I've heard.

I got turned on to Kurzweil while playing in a band from Cincinnati. The keyboard player had an 88 key pc3 and he also used the Hammond portable, but at practice just used the kurzweil. I was very impressed with how well the sounds sat in the mix compared to the way the yamaha did. Also saw some youtube vids with Steve Walsh using one for his organs, etc. I decided to bite the bullet and fortunately, I found a used one at a phenomenal price.
I am really excited to learn this keyboard, it is sonically impressive
