Hello everybody!

I thought I'd drop by and say hi to you all!
I'm new in the world of Kurzweil and so far I'm very excited about it.

Now then....I'm Louis and 24 years old. In 2012 I graduated for my music study and I am now a fulltime musician. Since a few days I'm a proud owner of a Kurzweil PC3x!
After playing a Roland FP-2 for about 8 years, I decided it was time to find something new and that would get me to the next level in terms of soundscaping and recreating and programming sounds, but I also wanted something exclusive. Alot of keyboard players that I know would go for a Yamaha Motif or maybe a Nord Stage, which are great machines, but there's something about the capabilities, features and sounds of a Kurzweil, that made me go for this.
Also, I'm a great fan of 70ies and 80ies music and I noticed that alot of the keyboard players in bands I fancy, play Kurzweil, for example: Jon Carin (The Who/David Gilmour/Roger Waters) plays Kurzweil K2600-series and PC3K-series.

Currently I play in multiple bands. Two in which we write and perform our own material and two bands where we play covers of famous artists. So basically I have to deal alot with multiple sounds/setups in one song or maybe quickly need authentic vintage sounds, such as Rhodes of CP80 Electric Grand Piano. I think I have the right companion in the Kurzweil PC3x. I hope to learn alot about programming by analyzing sounds by others and hopefully be able to share some of my own sounds in the future over here!

With regards,

Louis

Hello from Germany! Yes, the PC3 is a good machine for working musicians.
